Cape Town to Fish River Canyon

The Fish River Canyon must be one of the most spectacular landscapes to be seen.  Namibia is a vast and dry land and yet the landscape is ever-changing and fascinating. 

The Cape Town to Fish River Canyon tour leaves from Cape Town after a day around the Peninsula and a few hours of off-road training.  We then head into the Cederberg taking to gravel roads and passing through small towns.  The canyon is not far over the Namibian border.  The route back goes further into the Karoo taking you along some long straight roads where there is nothing but sky and gravel.  Accommodation is mostly 3* – comfortable but not plush.  Most budgets will be fine with what is on offer.

This trip is ideal for those with biking experience but gravel experience is not required before you leave.  By the time you are back, you’ll be quite experienced!

This trip runs all year round. Winter is mild with warm days and cold nights. During the Summer this trip will experience extreme heat.  Please be prepared with the correct gear, medication, camel pack and sun block.
